Cool! I'll have to take the 1 minute test on typing.com again. My fastest for just words is 162 wpm (Monkeytype)
Thank you! I hope you get another pb soon :P I took a look at your Monkeytype profile, we have pretty much the exact same speeds XD my username on there is vespa if you're curious about my stats!
182 WPM on MonkeyType standard English 60s.
Wow!
This just in... I hit 184 WPM on 60s :) https://imgur.com/a/B9ki7FO
Congrats on that!🎉
Thanks! :) I type in extensive bursts pushing for 200 WPM on 15s like 30 minutes a session. Restart every test that drops below it and keep doing it lol. Otherwise, I also practice harder ones like 1k, 5k and 10k. I've done 1,000 word tests, etc. Switch to tape mode with smooth scroll. Change the font size up/down and see what suits you the best. Learn to read ahead 2-3 words. Train your brain to associate a full word with a single motion instead of of just a letter. Eventually, learn to associate up to three words as one motion. Happy practicing! :)
ooh thank you! I tried tape mode and didn't like it, but I'll see if I can adjust the font and font size to something I like more. I tend to do quotes as well on Monkeytype, it's a lot more entertaining than just typing out random words lol But here's the thing. My stamina SUCKS. My wpm noticeably drops the longer I type. If I don't get a PB within the first 10 minutes of a session, I take that as a sign for me to move onto something else. Sometimes when I come back after a break my wpm actually increases. It's weird how my brain works, but I guess I'll have to factor that in. Again, thank you for your advice, I'll be keeping your tips about words moving forward!
