Am I the only one who types faster on this site specifically?

It's the same for me too. I think it's because it stops on the word when you make a mistake. That prevents you from typing a whole lot to have to backspace and fix. My Typeracer feels less fast than this and it usually is.

Noticed this as well and always thought it was just placebo effect due to a smoother caret movement.

i feel like my speed's much slower on typer, mainly because you have to delete all of your mistakes, but on other sites, even if i make mistakes i'm still faster somehow i also tend to mess up whenever i start after the countdown because the site registers my shift key for too long which really sucks but maybe it's just my keyboard
