Personalised Tips
Hello everyone! I have made this post for any tips you have that are specified to you and you'd like to share them. We all know that focusing on Accuracy is better than focusing on Speed. We also know that touch typing is best (for most people). One tip that I have that is personal is that I pretend I'm typing out an essay or something. When I do this, it just allows me to type faster. The words come to my brain quicker and it feels more natural. I feel like this is because when you type without a given text, you naturally type faster. So try it for yourself, share any you have, and let's help each other out!

I don't know if it works for everyone but I find that taking my time when typing and taking pauses generally does better for my wpm than does backspacing mistakes. Sometimes, I'd be in the middle of typing a word and lose momentum because getting to the next letter might be a bit awkward. In those cases, I'll just stop typing, regain my bearings then continue typing from where I left off. In cases where I just continue, I tend to make more mistakes and type around ~100 wpm vs 115+ when I just pause depending on how frequently I did it/ how long the pause was.
