What does it mean when it says verified?

It maybe a little dumb for you if you know the answer to this question but - I don't know and I wanted to ask what it means when it says verified. Hope someone can answer-

Sorry, it really is confusing and I am looking to change it soon. Originally I wanted a way to show that the user on the leaderboard created and played with an account. Currently the leaderboard also records high scores for people who do not have an account. So if you did get a high score with an account it shows "Verified" and without an account, it doesn't show it.
